Last week I went over to The Dalles to do a Senior shoot and found my self in the most amazing backyard I have seen. The flowers were not holding back and were in full bloom. Danyelle was super fun to work with and had the most amazing eyes. Check it out below! It’s the perfect time to get portraits done in a field of flowers these next couple of weeks. The Columbia river gorge is simply drop dead gorgeous in the spring.

A few weeks ago I photographed Kylie in Hood River. We ended up finishing the session in the studio after we lost the light and froze a little.

Last week I worked with local wedding hair and makeup stylist from Foils Salon. We had four models lined up that day. After hair and makeup we had a fun shoot for her advertizing campaign. One of the models was my daughter and when we got back to my home studio we took a few more shots in her street clothes. I’ve never seen her with curly hair and I certainly wouldn’t have recognized her from the back. She pretty much looks great all the time, but then, I am a little biased.

I’ve come back late Tuesday from the Seattle area after 4 photo shoots in 3 days. After all of the driving, shooting, and editing on the road I was ready for some time off to relax and take a break. Instead, I had a morning shoot in downtown Hood River with Lucas; I was secretly hoping that we’d get rained out. The rain stopped in the morning so I went to work. I was pleasantly surprised however because the light turned out to be fantastic. Light is so soft and defused by clouds that it opens whole new angles to shoot from. I was able to use new backgrounds and walls that I’ve passed up in the sunlight. I get really exited when I find new places to shoot. Lucas was so easy to work with that I had way too much fun shooting. I love being a photographer in this digital age that opens so many creative opportunities.

I’ve photographed Collin before so I knew that he was very easy to work with. He showed me great locations to shoot right by his house so we did not have to drive anywhere else. Here are some of the photos in different looks that many seniors want- like the grunge look- or others that I’ve come up with just to show the endless possibilities of how it can change the look and feel of the image.

The weather is amazing for any outdoor photo shoot right now. This must be the most magical time of the year for colors. I love this time of the year before the rain comes. Anyway here are some of my favorites photos from yesterday photoshoot at local high school hang out. Graffiti and train tracks make for some edgy and fresh pictures.

A few weeks ago I photographed Maritza in Hood River for her senior photos.
She was definitely not shy of the camera and was very easy to work with.

Here are some of my favorite photos from Erin’s photoshoot in Hood River. I always enjoy seeing how everyone has a unique style. Erin brought along her sister and mom, which I love, because it usually helps the model relax. They are often willing to help as my assistants with gear and interacting with the model so everyone has a fun time.
